I found a nice looking Blue/Black Chec pigeon with 2 leg tags, one is lime green & says nothing the other leg tag is black with the code: SDS 05 5897. This bird won't leave, he has moved onto my deck. He seems lost & lonely.

Please help me find his owner. Thanks;

8/22    Hi - My name is Chris Ion (805) 906-9688 and I live in Moorpark Ca. I work at a golf course and I have found a pigeon with a green leg tag that reads Aug 09 , 5782, Top RTC.  I have no idea what to do with the pigeon as it was almost run over by several golf carts so I caged it & gave it water and will hold it at the course for a couple days unless someone claims it.  Hope someone can help me. 11/6     Noticed a beautiful black and white pigeon in our yard then I was feeding my 30+ wild pigeons. Absoutely beautiful, and tamer than the wild. Yellow band with black writing, but I can't read them. Don't know if he will make it with the wild pigeons although he is plump and healthy looking. Have fed him for 3 days with the other wild pigeons, and he hangs out with the wild pigeions. He also has 24/7 access to fresh water in our front yard. I could almost catch him, but didn't because he flys awary. I am a bird lover and want to find his owner. Fear he won't make it. What should I do? Already looked on 20 websites for lost and found birds. If I do catch him, we have a huge empty wire cat condo on our covered back porch. Should I place him in it? Again, this is not a wild pigeon. My brother had homing pigeons for years, so I know they live very differently. If I have contacted the wrong organization for my area, Burbank, CA, 91506, will you help me?
